Without His grace I can do nothing - couldn't come to Him; couldn't remain in Him; couldn't grow in Him!

About the washcloth - my daughter's parenting wisdom would be to give the child the washcloth and let him find out for himself that it doesn't work. It won't hurt him to try it out! Then she will have opportunity to explain this concept to him. I believe that sometimes God allows us to have what we request in order to teach us life and faith lessons. Finally, hopefully, we learn to leave the choice with Him and not keep asking for things that don't achieve His purpose in our lives!Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12953073381987950597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2982662593354859176.post-82290314816220012112009-09-01T10:36:17.548-06:002009-09-01T10:36:17.548-06:00Betsy, thank you for really digging into the word,...Betsy, thank you for really digging into the word, and for sharing - there is really good stuff in here! I agree - we came to Him on the basis of His unearned grace, and we also continue on in Him, enabled by His grace. Yet, we do have a choice - abide in His grace by abiding in Him - or pursue our own path, which can ultimately separate us from His grace, if we do not turn back and yield to Him.Sherri Wardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02370897359440297281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2982662593354859176.post-43781161175527207002009-08-31T14:17:36.275-06:002009-08-31T14:17:36.275-06:00What a wonderful post, Betsy! I feel like I receive grace each day of life, that life itself is a special gift of grace.
